Guided Tours of Birmingham Botanical Gardens
The Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens is delighted to offer Guided Garden Tours, available seven days a week! Tours are led by our dedicated garden guides, who receive yearly, in-depth training for seasonal garden highlight tours as well as specialized tours.
All tours last approximately 45 minutes to one hour. Garden highlight tours should be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. Specialized tours, such as Alabama’s Amazing Biodiversity tours, Fern Glade tours, Japanese Gardens tours, or other special-request tours, should be scheduled at least four weeks in advance.
For information about tour costs and scheduling, please email Volunteer Coordinator Alice Thompson Moore at firstname.lastname@example.org. Proceeds from tours benefit the ongoing stewardship and enhancement of the Gardens, educational programs, and outreach activities.
Group Tour Policy
Please note that as of June 2019, for all group tours, a non-refundable deposit of $25 is required at time of booking. A group tour may be rescheduled to another date at least 10 business days prior to the scheduled tour. Tours are held rain or shine. We reserve the right to reschedule group tours due to extreme weather conditions for your safety and the safety of staff and volunteers.
