On September 14-15, the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens will host its annual Fall Plant Sale at the Gardens—welcoming patrons with opportunities to purchase natives, sustainable trees, shrubs, herbs, perennials, camellias, and more while benefiting the ongoing stewardship and enhancement of the Gardens, educational programs, and outreach activities.

Autumn is the best time to plant trees and shrubs! Trees available for purchase at this year’s Fall Plant Sale have once again been selected especially for Birmingham’s climate and conditions. They have proven easy to grow and heat- and drought-tolerant. Choose from long-lived native trees, which add to local biodiversity, and non-invasive exotics. The Fall Plant Sale will also offer a carefully selected and diverse collection of native and non-native plants that are excellent host plants for butterflies.
