Tram

At present, there is no way for visitors to move through The Gardens other than on foot*. However, our upcoming master plan update will begin to investigate the possibility of incorporating a tram-type system to take groups of visitors on a basic loop through The Gardens. We envision that the tram will make stops to unload and pick up passengers in certain locations at certain times, allowing more detailed exploration of smaller paths and garden areas on foot. The master plan will determine the feasibility of such a system, given our challenging topography and numerous existing features to be worked around. In the least, we know that in order for this system to become a reality, existing pathways would need modification and new pathways and turnouts would need to be built. Then, funding for the trams could be sought and volunteers could be recruited and trained.
