Spring Plant Sale

The 2012 Spring Plant Sale will be held in the former Mazer's location on Greensprings in Homewood on April 12 - 15. We'll begin the weekend with the preview party on Thursday, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. The Members-Only Sale will immediately follow on Thursday, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. This year will also introduce the inaugural Junior Board event, Tunes 'n Blooms, a new opportunity for our younger patrons to shop the sale and mingle amid a soundtrack provided by a local Birmingham musician.

Brio Tuscan Grille's Preview Party: 5 - 6:30 p.m.

Online Registration is over. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $50.

Members-Only Sale: 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Friday, April 13

Public Sale: 9 - 5 p.m. (Free)

Tunes 'n Blooms: 6 - 8 p.m.

($15 non-members, $10 members)

Public Sale: 11 - 3 p.m. (Free)

The signature plant for 2012 is Senorita Rosalita® Cleome hybrid 'Inncleosr'. There will be over 1,000 available for purchase at just $5.

Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens Spring Plant Sale features over 100,000 plants, most of which have been nurtured by volunteers at The Gardens. This sale allows a unique opportunity, providing expert knowledge on the plants and by offering unique plants difficult to find in ordinary garden centers. And your purchase helps The Gardens reach its educational goals.

The Spring & Fall Plant Sales at Birmingham Botanical Gardens further the mission of promoting public knowledge and appreciation of plants, gardens and the environment while providing consumers seasonally appropriate planting advice from experts and satisfaction from supporting a worthwhile cause with each purchase.
