Urban Farm Camp gives rising 4-6 graders a chance to grow fresh food for themselves and others and learn about the food networks that feed a city. Gardening activities, crafts, snacks, a zoo day and input from local experts will teach about soil and plants, sustainability, food webs and natural cycles. Participants will assist our gardeners in the Bruno Vegetable Garden, a productive plot that yields roughly 3,000 pounds of produce annually for Magic City Harvest. Campers will leave the week with plants, recipes, gardening skills, and new knowledge to contribute to the health and sustenance of themselves, their families, and their communities.
