Renny Reynolds, founder of Renny & Reed in New York City, is one of the nation's most renowned entertaining, gardening, and lifestyle experts. His definitive and recently reissued book, The Art of The Party, newly from Gibbs Smith Publishers, is known widely as the” party-planners bible”. Anyone who has read his informative columns in Elle Décor, caught one of his frequent television appearances, or attended one of his fascinating lectures on entertaining or garden design, is familiar with his uniquely imaginative talent.

Both his remarkable event and garden designs have been featured in all major shelter, garden and lifestyle magazines, including Architectural Digest, W, House & Garden, House Beautiful, New York Magazine, Manhattan, Inc., Horticulture Magazine, Town & Country, and Garden Design. Clients have included Presidents Ford, Nixon, Reagan and Clinton, with events in the White House, luminaries of stage and screen, leaders of industry, countless brides, and the country’s largest and most prestigious corporations and non-profit institutions.

He is in constant demand as a visionary garden designer and lecturer, with major garden projects in progress across the country, and in 2008 he was awarded a prestigious “Great American Gardener” Award, their highest honor, by the American Horticulture Society. His gardens at Hortulus Farm, the 100 acre 18th Century farmstead he owns in Wrightstown, PA, are regarded as some of the most influential in the Northeast and are now part of the Greater Philadelphia Garden Cooperative, putting them in the company of such illustrious nearby gardens as Longwood, Winterthur, and Chanticleer. He is also the founder of Hortulus Farm Nursery, a leading specialty greenhouse and perennial plant operation and multiple award winner at the Philadelphia Flower Show (the nation’s largest), including the coveted PNC Bank Award for excellence in design.

Renny has served on the boards of P.S. 1/ MOMA, The Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Fisherman’s Mark, and Heritage Conservancy of Bucks County, PA.
