Education: B.S. in Forestry from The University of the South; B.S. in Horticulture from University of Kentucky, and M.S. in Horticulture from Texax A&M University

Previous Experience: Practiced and Taught Nursery Production, Greenhouse Management, and Urban Forestry for 25 years; volunteer at the Gardens for 20 years.

Favorite Flower: Blue Eyed Grass

Favorite Garden: Desert Plant Conservatory

Hobbies: Volunteering for the Friends of Shades Creek and the Alabama Rivers Alliance

Fun Fact: I was a card-carrying member of the Gourd Society of America at age 12.

Goal: I have not watched TV since moving to Alabama 25 years ago and am going for another 25.
